From Artist to Art Therapist.
I was born and raised in Northern Ireland, a country deeply rooted in socio-political unrest. After completing my Foundation in Art from Limavady College in 1997, I went on to complete a BA in Fine Art from Coventry University in 2000. Since 2000, I have been involved in a number of exhibitions - both solo and as part of a collective of artists in the UK and Canada.
In 2020 I began my art therapy journey when I enrolled with the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute to earn my diploma. When I discovered art therapy through a mutual friend, I was immediately drawn to it. I have always enjoyed helping and support people from all walks of life, and pursuing art therapy as a career felt like the perfect path where I could combine my passion for art with helping people.
